Literally, each big or small success we manage in
our lives is a result of a connection with another
human being. It's the reason the personnel
department of every business is called Human
Resources. If a fully functioning business needs
people filling specific job descriptions in order to
be successful, then it makes sense that every
breathing professional does, too.
If
you want to launch a new business or expand your
client base, there is a gap between where you are
and what you wish to achieve. The solution for
closing that gap is connection, but not just any
connection. To get ideal results, one must have
ideal connections. When we need an attorney or a
mechanic, we call one. They are easy to find because
they are listed in the phone book under the service
they provide. Now, what if you need someone to help
you identify potential clients? Service-providers
like that aren't easily discovered in the Yellow
Pages - but they are in the ideal network.
What would happen if, instead of thinking of a
network as just an address book of names, we thought
of it as a complete staff, organized by position?
In Mary Kurek's new book, "Who's Hiding in Your
Address Book? - Introducing The Ideal Network for
Successful Women," she says "if you have five people
in your address book, you have five 'staff'
members-and one of those five people is going to be
the connection you need to help you with what you
are working on right now!"
By
implementing The Ideal Network System introduced in
the book, the author advises that readers will make
more meaningful connections and achieve faster
results for the goals they set. The system requires
a shift in how you view your own people resources
that can translate into more clients, smoother
business operations, increased visibility, and more
productive collaborations.
Four businesswomen tried out Kurek's system to meet
goals, and within a week had results ranging from an
opportunity to host a television show to a
connection with a client that ended up purchasing a
five million dollar insurance policy from one of the
women. Kurek has used the system for herself and
with clients to locate jobs, expand business
locations, secure new clients, attract publicity
opportunities, and even get her book published.
