(Hiring Manager’s Name)
Dear (Mr. or Mrs.) (Last Name),
Thank you for considering me for the position of Public Relations Account Executive. I am confident that I am the right fit for your team.
I took some time to look at your website, and see that many of your clients are in areas where I already have expertise. As a public relations account coordinator at GTE&N, I currently serve all needs for two high-profile accounts that include a bank and a local coffee distributor. Through these two accounts, I have become adept at both B2B and B2C public relations outreach. Over the past two years, my responsibilities have steadily grown. My current responsibilities include:
Overseeing event management for monthly client events at the bank, including handling invitations, event logistics and media outreach for possible coverage.
Positioning the coffee distributor as a local business leader by creating opportunities for them to speak at local gatherings such as the Chamber of Commerce and networking events. Each month, I turn their speaking engagements into a column that runs in the local monthly business blog. Their goal is to solicit new business customers but also to attract good employees.
Conducting daily news monitoring of our clients and their competitors.
Maintaining updated news media lists and reaching out with appropriate story ideas.
Compiling monthly reports for our clients.
Assisting with new business outreach and plan development.
You will find that I have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills which allow me to work effectively with people of diverse talents and backgrounds. In the fast-paced agency environment I also have the ability to effectively manage and track multiple projects simultaneously, work well under pressure with a high degree of accuracy, and meet stringent and overlapping deadlines. I know exactly what it takes to thrive in an agency environment and am ready to put those skills to work for you.
I have attached my resume, with a link to my LinkedIn profile. I look forward to talking with you about the position in more detail.
Thank you for your consideration.
