It was a pleasure meeting you at the meeting of the American Marketing Association yesterday, and I was delighted to hear that you will soon be posting a communications manager position.
As we discussed, I have a solid background in the communications field having worked in both agency and corporate positions. Most recently, I worked at Harrison Communications as an account executive, helping with strategy for existing and new clients. I was responsible for all client communication as well as media relations and writing for our account with a well-known consumer products company. Unfortunately when they decided to pull their business in house, I was downsized since there wasn’t sufficient additional business.
However, I have included a letter from my former supervisor, attesting to my exceptional client service, my success in placing the client in key trade magazines and my writing which helped increase readership of their internal newsletter.
