This cover letter example was written for a finance new graduate. He adopted a good approach by discussing his educational background and work experience in the first paragraph. The fact that, as a new graduate, he already had concrete experience demonstrates that he had a real interest for the field. He continued with his down to earth approach by highlighting key skills and attributes as they related to the position he was applying for. He concluded by reiterating his interest and asked that the recruiter respond and provide him with further information about the opening. That was a daring move, but again, showed his commitment.
