Dear Ms. Wareing,

Re: Midwifery Program 2014 – Job Number 056176

I am writing to apply for a position in the Midwifery Program at San Francisco District Health Board, commencing January 28, 2015, as advertised on the San Francisco Health website.

I have heard many good things about this program from fellow students. I would love the opportunity to consolidate my midwifery knowledge and continue to build my practice as a member of your organization. I have enclosed my resume and my academic record in support of my application.

As you will see from my employment history, my caregiving experience is a valuable asset in that it has developed in me strong people skills, communication skills, and personal care skills, all of which can be called upon during the birth process. You will note from my resume that I also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Warwickshire in 2010. This gives me an advantage in that I have a strong anatomy base underpinning my midwifery practice. This knowledge enables me to have a more holistic understanding of the impacts and physiological processes involved in birth and delivery.

I welcome the opportunity to talk with you more about this position and to discuss further how I can use my skills to benefit your organization.

Yours truly,

Kaitlin Oshiwa
